The deal between you and us.

  • ☕ We help you find plans. We don't run, check or attend them.

  • 🫖 Hosts are responsible for their plans being lawful.
  • 💳 It's free, and no money moves through the app.
  • 🧹 We can remove content or accounts that break the rules.

These terms are the agreement between you and KarakCrew. By creating an account or using KarakCrew you agree to them, to the Community Guidelines and to the Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, please do not use KarakCrew.

📜About these terms

  • KarakCrew ("we", "us") is a service that helps people in the United Arab Emirates find and organise social plans with one another.
  • The Community Guidelines and the Privacy Notice are part of these terms.
  • We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and where a change is significant we will take reasonable steps to let you know. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept it. If you do not accept it, you can delete your account.

🎟️Who can join

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You may have one account, and it must be for you personally, not for a business or on behalf of someone else.
  • The details you give must be true: your name or usual nickname, your date of birth and your gender.
  • While sign-up is invite-only, you need a valid invite code to join.
  • You may not join if we have previously removed you from the service.

🙂Your account

  • You are responsible for what happens on your account. Keep your password to yourself and choose one you do not use elsewhere.
  • Tell us straight away at hello@karakcrew.com if you think someone else has got into your account.
  • You can change your password, sign out of all devices, download your data or delete your account at any time from your profile.

☕What the service is, and is not

  • KarakCrew is a tool for finding people and plans. We do not organise, host, supervise, attend or vet the plans that members post.
  • We do not run background checks or identity checks on members. Names, ages, genders and photos are provided by members themselves and are not verified by us.
  • Women-only and men-only plans rely on the gender each member states. We cannot guarantee that every member has stated it truthfully.
  • KarakCrew is not an emergency service. In an emergency call 999 (police) or 998 (ambulance).

🤝Meeting people

  • Meeting people you do not know carries risk. You decide whether to join a plan and you take part at your own risk.
  • You are responsible for your own conduct, safety, transport, belongings and expenses before, during and after a plan.
  • Please read the Safety Tips before you meet anyone.

🫖If you host a plan

  • Give an accurate title, time, place and group size, and tell the group promptly if anything changes or the plan is cancelled.
  • Plans must take place in a public place.
  • You are responsible for making sure your plan is lawful in the emirate where it takes place, including any permit, licence or venue permission it needs.
  • You must honour what you say about who pays. If you mark a plan as free or as paid for by you, that is what it must be.
  • You may not sell tickets, charge a joining fee or collect money from members for a plan.

💳Money

  • KarakCrew is free to use at present.
  • No payments are made through the service. The "who pays" label on a plan is information from the host only; any cost is settled directly with the venue.
  • We may introduce paid features in future. You will always be shown the price and asked to agree before you are charged for anything.
  • Referral points are a record of friends you have invited. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and what they can be exchanged for has not been decided. We may change or end the scheme, and may remove points gained through fake or duplicate accounts.

📸Your content

  • You keep ownership of everything you post: your profile, photos, captions, answers, plans and messages.
  • You give us permission to store, display and reproduce that content within the service, so that it can be shown to other members as the service is designed to do. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies kept for the reasons set out in the Privacy Notice.
  • You confirm that you have the right to post what you post, that your photos are of you, and that your content does not break the law or anyone else's rights.
  • Do not post photos of other people, or their personal details, without their consent.

🚫What you must not do

  • Break the Community Guidelines or the law of the United Arab Emirates.
  • Use the service for dating, sexual solicitation, harassment, advertising, selling, recruiting, fundraising or political organising.
  • Pretend to be someone else, or create an account for anyone but yourself.
  • Copy, scrape or harvest content or member information, or use bots or other automated means to access the service.
  • Interfere with the service, test or probe its security, or try to get into accounts or data that are not yours.
  • Get around a suspension, a ban, a block or the invite system.

🧹Moderation

  • We may remove content, cancel plans, remove photos, limit features, or suspend or close accounts where we believe these terms or the Community Guidelines have been broken, or where we believe it is needed to keep members safe.
  • If we act on your account and you think we got it wrong, write to hello@karakcrew.com and a person will review it.
  • Reports are confidential. We do not tell a reported member who reported them.
  • We comply with lawful requests from the authorities of the United Arab Emirates, and we may keep and disclose information where the law requires it or where it is needed to protect someone's safety.

🛠️The service itself

  • We are a new service. Features may change, be limited or be withdrawn, and the service may be unavailable from time to time.
  • We provide the service as it is. To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, free of errors, or suitable for any particular purpose.
  • The KarakCrew name, logo, mascot and design belong to us. You may not use them without our permission.

⚖️Our responsibility to you

  • To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for the conduct of any member, online or in person, or for anything that happens at or in connection with a plan.
  • To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss arising from events outside our reasonable control.
  • Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under the law of the United Arab Emirates.

👋Ending this agreement

  • You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time.
  • We may suspend or close your account as set out under Moderation, or if we stop offering the service.
  • The sections on your content, our responsibility to you, and law and disputes continue to apply after your account is closed.

🏛️Law and disputes

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
  • If you have a complaint, please write to hello@karakcrew.com first so that we can try to put it right.
  • Any dispute that cannot be resolved that way will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the United Arab Emirates.
  • If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continue to apply.
