A note from us 💌

I came to Dubai to study. New city, new everything, and a whole lot of people I hadn't met yet.

Here's a secret: I'm an introvert. Walking up to strangers is really not my thing. But I love learning about new people: where they're from, what they're into, all the different things I'd never have found on my own.

I also love tech. So I kept thinking there had to be a gentler way to meet people. No awkward hellos, just a plan you can quietly tap into.

KarakCrew is that. If an introvert like me can say “I'm in,” so can you.

I'm a very selective extrovert. I'm not a social media person at all, but put me somewhere new with people I've never met and I'm in my element.

I love travelling, meeting people, talking to them, and actually going out and doing things. All of it in real life, none of it on a feed.

I went to Thailand on a solo trip, and that's where this idea came from. Out there, a stranger mentions a plan, you tag along, and it turns into the best part of your day. I kept wondering why that's so easy when you're away and so hard when you're home.

So I came back and got to work on it. KarakCrew isn't another place to scroll. It's a way to get off your phone and into a plan.

So that's us. We made the app we wished we had: open a map, see what people near you are up to, tap in, and go.

No awkward messages, no dating, just plans, and a cup of karak if you're lucky.
